Here, There and Everywhere

Good evening everyone. Hope you all are excited for the weekend! :D  Today was an absolutely crazy day! I was on the go-go-go!!!!

This morning started a little late, at around 8:30 (I had a drink or two last night to celebrate being done with classes ;) ).

However, breakfast was consumed while typing up my “desperate plea” as to why I should go to FitBloggin‘. Attune Foods is hosting a giveaway where they are sponsoring one blogger to go to the conference next month. I figured it was worth a shot, and even if I don’t win, I definitely put my heart out there (*fingers crossed*). I also took the time to read every comment and whomever is chosen to go will definitely deserve it!

I then packed up my gym bag and headed out for a marathon afternoon of errands, Girls on the Run, and the gym.

First I had to head over to the local community college (though it’s “technically” not a community college anymore) to sort out some issues I had. I’m taking three summer classes and one class required a co-requisite class that I have already taken. Once I got that sorted out (and became $212 poorer), I went to Target to pick up a few items… and ate my lunch.

Honestly, I looked like a creeper sitting in my car, eating my lunch with my sunglasses on…

I packed a lunch because I knew that I would not have a lot of time to eat before Girls on the Run…

I also had a spoonful of PB that I bought because I’m cool like that. ;)

I then headed over to Girls on the Run. I offered to help with the practice 5K for one of my other coach’s site. However, due to the weather, the practice 5K was postponed until next week. :( But we did work on their race t-shirts and other crafts!

This group of girls was a LOT different than my group. For starters, today’s group had 35 girls! At my site, we only have eight! The girls at my site are very quiet and calm whereas the girls at the site today were SO loud and wound up! I was EXHAUSTED by the end of it! Don’t get me wrong, the girls were super sweet, but the large size of the group was overwhelming!

Even though I was worn out from Girls on the Run, I still was able to go to the gym. I decided to not run today because I definitely did something to my knee on my run on Monday. It doesn’t hurt too bad, but something is not quite right. I have a rest day tomorrow and I’ll try to run again on Saturday. Taking it day by day. ;)

At the gym, I did my usual workout- 50:00 interval spin session (19.1 miles) followed up by a 1 mile cool down on the elliptical. While I was at the gym, I was looking over their fitness classes. There are a few classes I really want to try out- especially BodyPump, BodyJam and Sh’Bam. I actually REALLY want to do the Sh’Bam class… I mean look at the description:

Yes I am a musical theatre major, but I am NOT a dancer. However, sometimes I like to attempt to dance around like an idiot. ;)

The only thing that scares me about these classes is going into it for the first time, especially BodyPump! They are actually releasing the new release tomorrow at my gym, but I am going out of town and will not be able to go to any of the classes!

Anyway, after the gym, I (finally) headed back to my apartment for dinner… but failed to take a picture of dinner (I was hungry!). Dinner looked a lot like this…

Now I’m off to bed! I have an exciting day tomorrow! :D

To anyone who has done BodyPump- what do you do before your first class? Do they help you set everything up or are you on your own? And what about learning about the tracks? Ahh!

  1. once again..obsessed with all your eats. AND also I’m so proud of you for doing all your h-core work outs It must take so much motivation to push yourself through…it’s definitely an inspiration ;)

  2. That dinner looks delish! I don’t do BodyPump, but I do Body Sculpt at my school’s gym and it’s their rendition of the same program. They tell you what equipment to grab, but they don’t hands-on help you set up. Most of the time, though, everyone else in the class is so friendly that they’ll help, if need be. I think you have to remember that certain people take group ex. classes and they tend to be on the friendlier side. That’s been my observation, anyway!

    Enjoy the class, if you happen to take it! I think you should go for it :)

  3. Body Pump is great! I am sure if you let the instructor know that you are a rookie she will get you all set up and ready to go! And while its challenging I am sure you will catch on really quickly!
