Fresh Produce Clothing Review

I would never define myself as a fashionista…far from it actually.
From first grade through my senior year of high school, I was required to wear a uniform five days a week. In elementary and middle school, it was not horrible- plaid skirts or shorts, a green or white polo, white knee socks, and solid dark-colored shoes. In high school however, we were required to wear a hideous khaki skirt, a blue or white polo, with solid colored shoes. When we did have those rare dress down days, we were still bound by rules- jeans, a school related t-shirt (from a sports team, club, etc), and closed toed shoes.
Needless to say, with only being about to wear “real clothes” two days a week, my fashion choices and knowledge was fairly limited. I remember going on a huge shopping spree before my Freshman year of college and making up for lost time.
I do like to think that my sense of fashion is improving. I know what colors go well together (I think), but if it was up to me, I would wear running shorts and race tees all day and be perfectly fine.
However, it is nice to get dolled up every once in a while. So when Fresh Produce Clothes contacted me about a month ago about reviewing one of their products, I was intrigued.

I was allowed to glance around the site at the different products and pick my favorite to review. It was very difficult to narrow it down to my favorite piece because a lot of the pieces stuck out to me. I loved their summer tops and dresses but eventually narrowed it down to the Seasons Change Cardigan.

I am a big cardigan and sweater person. I think it is a cute way to dress up a sundress or add layering to a tank top and jeans ensemble. I like wearing them this time of the year because it also helps prevent my shoulders from getting sunburned if I am in direct sunlight.
I received the cardigan in the “laguna” color and love how bright it is. I tend to wear a lot of darker and muted colors so I like the pop of color it gives.

The cardigan itself is high quality. The material is very light and breathable so I can wear it in the summer, even in the Florida heat. It is also very soft and does not wrinkle very easily. I see this piece becoming a staple in my wardrobe when I want to look a little more polished and put together.

The only thing I have to be careful of with this piece is the potential of snagging. My cat likes to reach out and grab me with her claws and I can definitely see her pulling a string loose if I am not careful.
If you are looking for a way to update your wardrobe this summer, I would definitely recommend checking out Fresh Produce Clothes. I was very impressed with the product and it is comforting to know others feel the same way (just read their comments!). You know that I do not do reviews very often, but when I do, I make sure that they are quality items and items that I will use regularly.
Fresh Produce has a lot of cuteĀ casual clothes for the hot days of summer and nice pieces for going out at night. I have my eye on a front tie dress and I am tempted to go ahead and purchase it. Just have to save up my pennies first!
Do you have a “staple” clothing item in your wardrobe? Besides sweaters and cardigans, I also have a lot of sundresses in my closet.
