A Carolina State Of Mind

Four states and seven and a half hours of driving later, I have made it to Hickory, NC for the Charity Chase Half-Marathon!
I am excited and a little nervous to be tackling this very challenging course for the second year in a row but I will give it my best effort.
I would not be running this race if it were not for all of you. Thank you again to everyone who voted for me to win one of the free entries into this race. My legs have been feeling very heavy and tired all week, so I am unsure how tomorrow will turn out. However, whatever happens, I will not forget who I am running for.
I am running for all of you. I am running for those who can not run. I am running for me.
Off to bed! I have my sixth half-marathon to run in the morning!
My name is Katy and I am a 23-year-old living, running, and cycling in and around the Washington, DC metro area. This blog chronicles my life, inner musings, and fitness adventures as I try to navigate this crazy thing called life!

Good luck in the race! Maybe I’ll see you on the course!
Have fun and good luck!!!
