Pulling The Plug…

I had to stop running for six weeks, go through intensive physical therapy and rebuild my mileage up from zero.   Due to that injury, I had to drop out of Gasparilla in late February, where I was scheduled to run a 15K, 5K, and half-marathon in one weekend. … Not being able to run Chicago still stirs up very raw emotions, but I also know that when I finally cross the finish line for my first marathon, it will be even MORE meaningful because of everything that I have had to go through. 2011 may not have been my year for a marathon like I had hoped, but 2012 will be.
